Home Business Myths – Have You Bought Into These?

More than 700 people get started in a home business every single day in the Unites States alone. Close to 95% of them quit within the first 3 -6 months.

Why is this? At least part of the reason is that once all the excitement and hype surrounding getting started dies down, they are left with the cold hard work it takes to build a business.

Often they have bought the myths perpetuated by the home business industry, many of which are also part of popular culture. However, very early they begin to discover the "real realities" the hard way!

These myths include everything from how much money you'll make, online marketing of your business, prospecting or recruiting business partners and customers, to claims about how quickly you'll be financially independent, to the perfect business-building system they've put together, to the amount of money you must invest to make your business work, to your own motivation.

Now I am not suggesting that anyone is being intentionally malicious, but people do tend to get caught up in the hype around becoming a home business owner.

It is their own deep yearning to change their lives and get themselves on the pathway to different financial reality and a different lifestyle that is their own worst enemy.  This makes them very vulnerable. They desperately want to believe all of the hype and claims that every home-based business company makes.
They want to learn how to build a business to a place of profitability.  They know they need to be involved in serious personal development of themselves. They want to learn how to create streams of residual income, and how to generate a steady flow of qualified prospects for their business and the service or product they offer.
They want to develop effective time management strategies.
They want to master the skills of internet marketing and attraction marketing.
They want to master the "prospecting" process so they can convert leads they have generated to business partners or customers.People who own a home-based business are generally some of the most motivated, driven, serious, and committed people in world of business today. And yet, because of the home business myths many of them get disillusioned very early in the game.

It's time to “clear the air” and discuss some of the misconceptions which have crept into the Work From Home industry. These myths lead home business owners to make some serious mistakes, especially for those involved as network marketing distributors.

By pointing out the myths and discussing the realities, we can not only fix the home business myths we can adjust our own expectations to the real realities of being a home business owner.

The good news is that the promise of financial freedom, time freedom, and a changed lifestyle are all very real and attainable in this industry, once you step BEYOND THE MYTHS!
